How much does it cost?
Requesting quotes is free. Providers quote the total for your job in Canadian dollars, including applicable tax and disposal. Compare scope and availability before selecting a provider.
How does matching work?
Matching considers services, service areas, travel radius and availability. Providers review your job description to confirm they have the skills, tools and vehicles needed. Travel distances are estimated from town centres, rather than driving routes.
Does every provider need a truck?
No. Yard work, snow shovelling, moving labour and other jobs may only need tools and skills. Providers review your job description and bring the tools or vehicles needed.
When are my contact details shared?
Administrators can review the request. Providers see the town and job details before quoting. The contact email you enter, any phone number you provide, and your exact service and delivery addresses are shared with the provider you select.
How do I pay?
After selecting a provider and confirming arrangements, pay Find Local Help upfront using the PayPal link in your booking. Include the exact quoted total and job reference. We verify payments manually and pay providers after completion is confirmed. Report your payment in the booking, then wait for administrator verification before work begins. Do not pay twice while verification is pending.
How do accounts work?
Create a Find Local Help account with your email and password to request quotes, manage bookings or apply as a provider. Confirm your email to activate your account. One account lets you hire help and offer your own services. Email is required for contact details; a phone number is optional. Provider applications are reviewed before you can quote on jobs.
